A warm, hearty, and satisfying casserole made with smoky ham, creamy cheese, and tender noodles. Perfect for cozy weeknight dinners, potlucks, or feeding a crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • 2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  4. Add the cooked noodles and diced ham to the sauce mixture. Stir gently to coat the noodles and ham evenly.
  5. Pour the noodle and ham mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the topping is golden brown. If the topping browns too quickly, cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil.
  8. Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add crushed crackers or fried onions to the topping. Adjust salt and pepper to taste before baking.
