A warm, comforting milk tea with sweet vanilla and cozy cinnamon spices, perfect for chilly mornings or relaxing evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose-leaf black tea
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk (or almond milk/oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Honey or sugar to taste (start with 1 teaspoon)
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup (240 ml) of water to a gentle boil. Add 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose-leaf black tea. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags or strain out the loose-leaf tea and set aside.
  3. In the same saucepan, add 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent scalding.
  4. Whisk in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  5. Add the brewed tea to the milk mixture and whisk until fully combined.
  6. Sweeten to taste with honey or sugar, starting with 1 teaspoon and adjusting as needed.
  7. Carefully pour the milk tea into your favorite mug. Optionally, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
