Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked al dente
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced finely
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the spaghetti, and cook until al dente according to package instructions (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and sautΓ© for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and diced onion. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, pour in chicken broth, and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly to melt it into the sauce. Add a splash of chicken broth if the sauce gets too thick.
  8. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  9. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and gently toss until fully coated in the creamy Cajun sauce.
  10. Transfer to plates or a serving dish, garnish with fresh parsley, and sprinkle red pepper flakes on top if desired. Serve immediately.
