A cozy and creamy oat milk latte sweetened with maple syrup and spiced with cinnamon, perfect for chilly mornings and quick to prepare.

  • 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk, preferably barista-style
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) freshly brewed strong coffee or espresso
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus a pinch for garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Brew 1/2 cup (120 ml) of strong coffee or a double shot of espresso and set aside to stay hot.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of oat milk into a small saucepan and heat gently over medium-low heat until steaming hot but not boiling, about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt into the warmed oat milk.
  4. Froth the oat milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds until light foam forms. Alternatively, shake in a sealed jar until frothy.
  5. Pour the hot coffee into a mug, slowly add the frothed oat milk mixture, spoon extra foam on top, and finish with a light dusting of cinnamon.

Notes

Warm oat milk gently to avoid scorching or separation. Use freshly ground cinnamon for best aroma. If oat milk doesn’t froth well, try a different brand or avoid ultra-thin varieties. Reheat gently if storing. Froth extra oat milk before serving if foam is lost.
