A creamy, sweet, and mildly spicy whipped feta dip perfect for parties and quick snacks. This dip blends silky smooth feta with honey and chili for a delightful flavor combination.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 ounces (115 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey (raw or wildflower recommended)
  • 1 small red chili (Fresno or red jalapeño), finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh thyme or oregano leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crumble 8 ounces (225 grams) of feta cheese into the food processor bowl. Soften 4 ounces (115 grams) of cream cheese by leaving it out for 20 minutes before starting.
  2. Finely dice 1 small red chili and mince 1 small garlic clove. Remove seeds from chili for less heat if desired.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese to the feta in the processor. Pulse a few times to break down the cheeses.
  4. Pour in 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice.
  5. Process the mixture for about 1-2 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides with a spatula until silky and spreadable.
  6. Add the chopped chili and minced garlic, then pulse briefly just to distribute evenly without pulverizing.
  7. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust honey or lemon juice if desired. Add a teaspoon of water or more olive oil if too thick.
  8. Spoon the dip into a serving bowl. Drizzle a little olive oil on top, sprinkle extra chili flakes if desired, and garnish with fresh thyme or oregano leaves.
  9. Let the dip rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Use a good-quality block feta for best texture. Soften cream cheese at room temperature before blending. Adjust chili heat by removing seeds or adding chili flakes on top. Serve at room temperature for best flavor and texture. Can be made ahead and refrigerated; bring to room temperature before serving. For dairy-free version, use plant-based feta and cream cheese alternatives and swap honey for agave syrup.
