Golden crescent rolls stuffed with creamy, cheesy jalapeno goodness and smoky bacon, perfect for parties or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 fresh jalapenos, diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapenos, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, and chopped green onions. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. If they’re sticking together, gently pull them apart.
  4. Spoon about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
  5. Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle toward the narrow tip, tucking in any filling that tries to escape.
  6. Use a pastry brush to lightly coat each roll with beaten egg for a golden, crispy finish.
  7. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let the rolls cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘Don’t overfill the rolls to prevent bursting.’, ‘Remove seeds and ribs from jalapenos for less heat.’, ‘Softened cream cheese blends easily, but avoid over-softening.’, ‘Watch rolls closely during the last few minutes of baking to prevent overbrowning.’, ‘Prepare the filling ahead and refrigerate until ready to use.’]
