  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, tossing with a little butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautΓ©ing for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  8. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  9. Reduce heat to low and add sour cream. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy, avoiding boiling to prevent separation.
  10. Serve the stroganoff over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
