  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Romaine or butter lettuce leaves
  • Optional toppings: crushed peanuts, toasted rice powder, extra lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, and brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside.
  2. Cook the turkey: Heat a skillet or wok over medium heat. Add a drizzle of oil and the ground turkey. Break it up into small crumbles using a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add aromatics: Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced shallots. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the turkey mixture. Stir well to coat the meat evenly and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
