Tender steak bites paired with creamy garlic butter Alfredo sauce and shell pasta make this quick and indulgent dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 12 oz medium-sized shell pasta
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add shell pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (around 8-10 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
  2. Season steak bites generously with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak bites to the hot skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, one handful at a time, until fully melted and smooth. Add reserved pasta water gradually, stirring to loosen the sauce and achieve desired consistency.
  6. Add cooked shell pasta and steak bites back to the skillet, tossing gently to coat everything in the creamy Alfredo sauce.
  7. Stir in the remaining butter for extra richness, sprinkle with fresh parsley (if using), and serve warm.

Notes

[‘Don’t overcrowd the skillet when cooking steak bites to ensure proper searing.’, ‘Use fresh Parmesan for a creamier texture.’, ‘Keep the heat on medium or low when making the Alfredo sauce to prevent curdling.’, ‘Reserve pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency.’, ‘Let the steak rest for a few minutes after searing to retain juices.’]
