A quick and irresistible recipe for sweet, smoky, and crispy turkey bacon glazed with pure maple syrup. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Turkey Bacon (thin slices, nitrate-free recommended)
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Ground black pepper (a pinch)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Lay the turkey bacon strips in a single layer on the wire rack, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  3. In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of pure maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar (if using), and 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika. Stir until smooth.
  4. Use a silicone basting brush to evenly coat each slice of turkey bacon with the maple mixture. Flip the bacon and coat the other side as well.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the bacon to flip each slice, then brush on more glaze if desired.
  6. Bake for another 5-7 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the glaze has caramelized beautifully.
  7. Remove the bacon from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes to allow the glaze to set and prevent sticking.

Notes

[‘Don’t skip the wire rack for achieving crispy bacon.’, ‘Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor.’, ‘Watch the oven closely during the last few minutes to avoid burning the glaze.’, ‘Experiment with spices like cayenne or cinnamon for added flavor.’, ‘Double the recipe as the bacon tends to disappear quickly.’]
