A simple, crowd-pleasing fall snack board featuring crisp apple wedges, salty pretzels, soft caramel, and crunchy toffee bits. Perfect for gatherings or a cozy autumn treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4–6 medium firm apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala), sliced into wedges
  • 1 bag (approx. 10 oz) soft caramel pieces
  • 2 cups pretzel twists and rods
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits or chunks
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 2 tbsp white chocolate, melted (optional)
  • Lemon juice (for preventing browning)

Instructions

  1. Wash apples thoroughly and slice into 1/4 inch wedges, leaving skin on. Toss with a little lemon juice if making ahead to prevent browning.
  2. Arrange apple slices in a fan pattern or spiral on a large wooden board or slate platter, leaving space between slices.
  3. Scatter pretzel twists and rods around and through the apple slices.
  4. Spread soft caramel pieces over the apples and pretzels, creating pools in the gaps. Microwave for 10-15 seconds if caramels are stiff.
  5. Sprinkle toffee bits generously over the caramel and apples.
  6. If using, melt chocolate chips slightly and drizzle over the board. Add mini marshmallows if desired.
  7. Adjust the arrangement to ensure the board looks full and inviting.

Notes

Serve at room temperature for best flavor. If the kitchen is warm, keep the board chilled until serving. Store apples and pretzels separately if making ahead; add caramel just before serving. Wooden boards should be washed by hand and dried immediately.
