All the creamy, spicy, cheesy goodness of classic Buffalo chicken dip, wrapped in a flaky crescent roll shell and baked until golden. These football-shaped bites are perfect for game day and disappear before halftime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (12.5 oz each) canned chicken, drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough (e.g., Pillsbury)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained canned chicken, softened cream cheese, Buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, shredded mozzarella, crumbled blue cheese (if using), chopped green onions, garlic powder, and salt. Mix with a fork until well combined and creamy.
  3. Open both cans of crescent rolls and unroll the dough. Separate along the perforated lines to get 16 triangles.
  4. Take one triangle of dough with the wide end facing you. Place about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of filling in the center. Fold the two side corners over the filling, then roll up from the wide end toward the point, tucking the point underneath. Gently shape into an oval football shape.
  5. Place each football-shaped bite on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Using a sharp knife or scissors, make two small slits on top to create the laces.
  6. Brush the top of each football with melted butter. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Seal edges well to prevent leakage. Keep dough cold for easier handling. For extra crispiness, cook in an air fryer at 350°F for 8-10 minutes. Can be assembled up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated before baking.
