A quick and easy sparkling dessert featuring fresh strawberries dipped in melted chocolate and decorated with edible glitter for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and fully dried
  • 8 ounces good quality dark, milk, or white chocolate chips or bars
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons edible glitter (food-safe, silver, gold, or holographic)
  • Optional: sprinkles or crushed nuts for extra texture and visual appeal
  • Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks (12 to 15)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries and pat them completely dry with paper towels. Remove green stems if desired. Insert a wooden skewer into the top center of each strawberry gently but firmly.
  2. Chop chocolate if using bars. Melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Holding the skewer, dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off.
  4. Immediately after dipping, sprinkle edible glitter over the chocolate while still wet or roll the dipped strawberry in a small bowl of glitter to coat.
  5. Place coated strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until chocolate hardens.
  6. Arrange the sparkling strawberry sparklers on a platter and serve.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry to prevent chocolate from seizing. Use quality chocolate with at least 60% cocoa for best flavor. Add a teaspoon of coconut or vegetable oil if chocolate thickens. Store sparklers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Let sit at room temperature 10-15 minutes before serving.
