A rich, creamy, and spiced cream cheese dip studded with crunchy toffee bits, perfect for dipping fresh apples. This easy 5-minute treat offers a complex balance of sweet, tart, and buttery flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • Fresh apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji), cored and sliced

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese and butter at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth, pale, and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl halfway through.
  3. Sift in the powdered sugar to prevent clumps. Add the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
  4. Mix on low speed just until combined, then increase to medium speed and whip for another 1-2 minutes until light and airy.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or spice if desired.
  6. Gently fold in the toffee bits using a rubber spatula, being careful not to crush them.
  7. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the dip to firm up.
  8. Serve chilled with fresh apple slices.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese and butter are fully softened to avoid lumps. Do not overmix the toffee bits to maintain their crunch. The dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Do not freeze as the texture may become grainy.
