A creamy, savory dip featuring everything bagel seasoning and fresh herbs, perfect for poolside snacking with crunchy veggie chips. Quick to make and a crowd-pleaser for any casual gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened (full-fat recommended)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • About 4 cups veggie chips (sweet potato, beet, or kale)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit out at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until creamy and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add everything bagel seasoning, fresh chives, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Stir gently but thoroughly to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, adjusting based on the saltiness of the seasoning blend.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld and the dip firm up.
  6. Before serving, stir the dip to refresh the texture. Transfer to a serving dish and surround with veggie chips.

Notes

Always start with softened cream cheese at room temperature for best texture. Chill the dip for at least 1 hour for optimal flavor and firmness. For a smoother dip, pulse cream cheese in a food processor before mixing. Fresh chives are preferred over dried herbs for better flavor. The dip keeps well refrigerated for up to 3 days but is freshest within 24 hours. Avoid microwaving to maintain creamy texture.
