Crispy Cinnamon Apple Cider Margarita - featured image

A quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing fall cocktail that balances sweet apple cider, crisp tequila, and fresh lime with a spicy cinnamon sugar rim.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Apple Cider (100% pure, cold)
  • 2 oz Tequila Blanco (100% agave)
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • Cinnamon Sugar Rim (Mix granulated sugar with ground cinnamon, approx 2:1 or 3:1 ratio)
  • Ice (lots of it)
  • Optional Garnish: Thin apple slice or cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glasses and dip into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.
  2. Pour apple cider into a cocktail shaker (4 oz per drink).
  3. Add tequila blanco to the shaker (2 oz per drink).
  4. Squeeze fresh lime juice into the shaker (0.5 oz per drink).
  5. Fill the shaker with ice, using about half the shaker’s volume.
  6. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker feels cold to the touch.
  7. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses using a Hawthorne strainer.
  8. Garnish with an apple slice or cinnamon stick if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh-pressed apple cider and fresh lime juice. If batching for a party, mix the cider, tequila, and lime in a pitcher and keep cold; rim glasses individually just before serving to prevent soggy rims. For a non-alcoholic version, swap tequila for extra cider and a splash of apple cider vinegar. For a spicy kick, muddle a slice of jalapeño in the shaker before shaking.
