A quick and easy 3-ingredient Halloween treat made by melting semi-sweet chocolate chips and scattering candy corn on top. Perfect for last-minute parties or trick-or-treaters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups (4–5 oz) candy corn
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Place chocolate chips and butter (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-20 second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and glossy. Do not overheat.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into a thin, even layer (about 1/4 inch thick).
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle candy corn over the top and press gently to embed them.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or freeze for 15 minutes) until the chocolate is firm.
  7. Remove from fridge and break into irregular chunks using a pizza cutter or knife.
  8. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Do not overheat the chocolate as it can seize or become grainy. For best results, use decent quality chocolate chips rather than the cheapest options. If the chocolate is too thick, add a tiny bit of vegetable oil. This treat tastes better on day two as the flavors meld.
