Ingredients

Scale
  • 20–24 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (Oreos)
  • 6 tablespoons (85g) Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
  • 2 blocks (454g total) Full-fat Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup (240ml) Heavy Whipping Cream, cold
  • 1 cup (120g) Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1–2 teaspoons Peppermint Extract
  • 1 cup (170g) White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup (170g) Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 10–12 Candy Canes, crushed
  • 1–2 tablespoons Crushed Oreos (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) if making a baked version, or skip for no-bake.
  2. Crush Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
  3. Mix crumbs with melted butter and sugar until resembling damp sand.
  4. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8 or 9-inch springform pan and chill for 15 minutes.
  5. Beat room temperature cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and peppermint extract.
  6. Whip heavy cream in a separate cold bowl until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until uniform.
  8. Pour filling over the chilled crust, smooth the top, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Melt white and dark chocolate chips separately in the microwave or double boiler.
  10. Pour white chocolate over the set cheesecake, then drizzle dark chocolate in a zigzag pattern.
  11. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes and extra crushed Oreos over the wet chocolate.
  12. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
  13. Run a hot knife around the edge to release the springform ring and slice with a hot knife for clean cuts.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. Do not skip whipping the heavy cream for a light texture. Use a hot knife dipped in water and dried between cuts for clean slices. The recipe is naturally gluten-free if using GF Oreos and candy canes.
