These easy peanut butter apple nachos are a quick, 5-minute snack featuring crisp apple slices drizzled with warm peanut butter and topped with chocolate chips, peanuts, and coconut. Perfect for game day, after-school treats, or a healthy-ish dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji preferred)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or honey
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips (mini chips preferred)
  • ¼ cup chopped peanuts (dry-roasted, salted)
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp hearts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Cut into thin rounds (about ¼-inch thick), discarding core and seeds. You should get about 20-24 slices from two large apples.
  2. Arrange apple slices in a single layer on a serving plate, overlapping slightly if needed.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter and coconut oil or honey. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and pourable (about 30-45 seconds total).
  4. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture generously over the apple slices in a zigzag pattern, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top, followed by chopped peanuts, shredded coconut, and any optional toppings. Press down gently to help them adhere.
  6. Serve immediately while apples are crisp and peanut butter is warm.

Notes

Best served immediately. Apples will brown if left too long; toss with lemon juice if prepping ahead. For a party, prep sliced apples and toppings ahead, but drizzle peanut butter just before serving. To toast coconut and nuts, spread on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 3-5 minutes until golden.
