A quick and easy mocktail that combines tart cranberry juice with crisp sparkling apple cider for a refreshing, crowd-pleasing drink perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) 100% pure cranberry juice (unsweetened)
  • 4 to 6 ounces (1/2 to 3/4 cup) chilled sparkling apple cider
  • Fresh apple slices (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), for garnish
  • Fresh or frozen cranberries, for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Fresh rosemary sprig or cinnamon stick, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill highball glasses or mason jars with ice cubes almost to the top.
  2. Pour 2 ounces (about 1/4 cup) of pure cranberry juice over the ice in each glass.
  3. Slowly pour 4 to 6 ounces (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup) of chilled sparkling apple cider into each glass, pouring gently down the side to preserve carbonation.
  4. Stir gently with a long spoon or straw to combine the liquids without losing too much fizz.
  5. Garnish with a few fresh or frozen cranberries and a thin apple slice on the rim. Add a rosemary sprig or cinnamon stick if desired.
  6. Serve immediately while the fizz is at its peak.

Notes

For a crowd, mix cranberry juice and apple cider in a pitcher (without ice) and chill. Pour over ice and garnish when serving. Chill all ingredients and glasses beforehand to prevent dilution. Adjust sweetness by adding more cider or tartness with more cranberry juice. For a lighter version, use sparkling water and a splash of apple juice.
