Refreshing Sparkling Red White Blue Sangria Pitcher - featured image

A vibrant and bubbly sangria recipe combining red and white wines with fresh red, white, and blue fruits, perfect for summer parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) fruit-forward red wine (e.g., Merlot or Pinot Noir)
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) crisp white wine (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 2 cups (480 ml) chilled sparkling water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup white peaches or pear, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium fresh lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium fresh lime, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • A handful fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: hull and slice strawberries, rinse and pat dry blueberries, peel and slice white peaches or pears about 1/4-inch thick, and thinly slice lemon and lime, removing seeds.
  2. Combine the red and white wines in a large pitcher.
  3. Add the sliced strawberries, blueberries, white peaches, lemon, and lime slices to the pitcher. Stir gently with a wooden spoon to mix flavors without bruising the fruit.
  4. If desired, stir in simple syrup starting with 1/4 cup and adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, add 2 cups of chilled sparkling water and gently stir to preserve the bubbles.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve over ice.

Notes

Add sparkling water just before serving to keep bubbles lively. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup or substitute with agave nectar or honey dissolved in warm water. For non-alcoholic version, replace wines with grape juice or white cranberry juice. Use large ice cubes or frozen fruit to chill without diluting. Leftover sangria keeps up to 2 days refrigerated; add sparkling water before serving again.
