  • 1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Baby carrots or carrot sticks
  • Cucumber, sliced into rounds or half-moons
  • Cherry tomatoes, whole or halved
  • Romaine hearts, cut into large wedges
  • Optional: Dill weed, garlic powder, or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Ensure cream cheese is fully softened by cutting into cubes and letting sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and ranch dressing mix. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Add sour cream and mayonnaise to the bowl. Mix on low speed until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and dip to firm up.
  5. While the dip chills, wash and thoroughly dry all vegetables to prevent diluting the dip.
  6. Cut vegetables into desired shapes (e.g., broccoli ghosts, cucumber rounds) and arrange on a large platter.
  7. Spoon the chilled ranch dip into a small bowl in the center of the platter or pipe into small cups.
  8. Garnish with dried parsley or chives and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not use light cream cheese as it contains more water and will make the dip watery. Ensure vegetables are completely dry before serving to maintain dip consistency. The dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Do not freeze the dip as dairy will separate upon thawing.
