A spooky, non-alcoholic Halloween punch featuring green apple and lime flavors with a dramatic dry ice fog effect. Easy to make and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 liters Green Apple Soda (e.g., Sprite or Sierra Mist)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 bottle Ginger Ale (preferably with real ginger)
  • 2 liters Lemon-Lime Soda (e.g., Mountain Dew or 7Up)
  • 1–2 pounds Dry Ice
  • Green Food Coloring (optional)
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill the punch bowl in the freezer for about 30 minutes before starting.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the green apple soda, lime juice, and ginger ale. Stir gently.
  3. Add the lemon-lime soda last to preserve the fizz. Add food coloring if using and stir again.
  4. Put on thick gloves and break dry ice into small chunks suitable for the bowl.
  5. Fill the chilled punch bowl with regular ice cubes, leaving space for the liquid.
  6. Pour the mixed soda and lime juice over the ice in the bowl and stir well.
  7. Using tongs, place the dry ice chunks into the bowl. The fog will begin to roll out.
  8. Serve immediately using ladles. Monitor the dry ice and remove remaining chunks with tongs once the fog stops.

Notes

Safety is paramount: Never ingest dry ice. Always handle with tongs and gloves. Ensure the area is well-ventilated as dry ice sublimates into carbon dioxide gas. Do not use metal bowls as they get dangerously cold. Add dry ice just before serving for the best fog effect.
